It has unheated tension bars that act like heating plates to clamp the hair during straightening. Air is precisely heated and evenly projected downward at a 45-degree angle to create the tension needed for straightening hair for smooth results without heat damage.

The Dyson Hyperdymium motor spins at up to 106,000 rpm, pushing 11.9 liters of air through the device per second. Glass bead thermistors located inside the device regulate airflow temperature up to 30 times per second to prevent extreme heat damage and protect the hair’s natural shine. Three preset temperatures – 80°C, 110°C, and 140°C – transform hair from wet to finished style with a single device.
